PE and Sports Premium

The Primary PE and Sport Premium was introduced to improve the provision of physical education and school sport in primary schools across England. The funding is allocated directly to primary schools and is ring-fenced. This means it may only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport in schools.

At Pytchley CofE the full amount of Sports/PE funding will be allocated to provide opportunities to meet the criteria set out in five key indicators.  The key indicators are:

1) Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport.

2) Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity.

3) The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement.

4) Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils.

5) Increased participation in competitive sport.

This Sports/PE Impact report details how funding was used during the 2023/24 academic year to meet the key indicators.
